Just having a look at the percentages in the top 8 and it is really quite amazing, and this has definitely caused some confusion in the afl betting scene. Geelong have the highest percentage on 153% while there is a huge gap to the second best percentage which is Sydney on 120%. A gap this large has not occurred since 1950 when Essendon had a percentage of 162% to the second best percentage of Geelong on 124%. Essendon won the premiership that year.

Several clubs are now on the lookout for their next premiership coach. Like in roulette, one can only wonder whose number will come up next. Now of course there are many factors that have to be taken into account when choosing who might be the best candidate. I decided to make life easier for those making the big decision and try to find out if one or two factors make any difference at all.

Richmond have been the subject of much sniggering in recent times for their propensity to finish ninth on the ladder. In fact by finishing ninth again in 2006 the Tigers have just missed the finals five times in the thirteen years since the final eight was introduced. But how does the "Tigers Ninth" myth stack up over the fullness of time?
